I added about 8 inches to the height of the bird feeder post, above the
anti-squirrel disk. There's one aggressive squirrel that climbs a nearby tree
and jumps to the top of the dish, then reaches up to eat from the bird feeder.
Unless he can grow several inches, I don't think he'll be in the feeder again.
The post is 1/2" and the material I had on hand was some 3/8"x3/8" 1/8" thick
angle. Not my frst choice for this project, but it worked. Also had to weld the
outrigger leg back on - must have done an OK job as it
survived being driven into the ground with an 8 lb hammer ;-) No in-progress
pictures, but this is the painted result:
